Soon I will be setting my easel up on the rocky coast of Maine – a far different vista than my sunny South Carolina beach home. A change of scenery is so important to the creative pursuit, but it’s also vital for all persons to get away from time to time. Whether you physically head out for a different climate as I will soon do, or escape into a book or travel show about far away climes, make it a priority to change your location – or as old Parrot Head would say, “changes in latitude, changes in attitude.” Enjoy!

I work mostly in watercolor and pastels, but pen and ink drawings were my first love and I still enjoy that medium. Originally from Tennessee, I know I'll never get the mountains out of my blood and hold a love of nature in my heart and in my art, but about four years ago I brought my studio to the beach in South Carolina and those ocean views have inspired my art ever since.
